In their thumping win over Osasuna, FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has finally managed to break the club’s goal scoring record of a single player. The diminutive forward has netted a hat-trick in the match that ended seven to nil.

370th Barca Goal

Messi’s last goal is his 370th for the club. He has overtaken Paulinho Alcantara’s marksman record of 369 when he completed his hat-trick in between strikes from Pedro Rodriguez and Cristian Tello.

The Catalan club has to endure a bright start from the opposition, but the footballing giants have emerged victorious in the end with Messi opening the floodgates.

Strong Performance

Alexis Sanchez, another name listed on the score sheet, says, “We played a great game and I am happy with my performance as I scored and provided an assist.”

“I think we can beat Real Madrid in the Bernabéu and that would put us right in the fight for La Liga,” he added.

Barca is set to face Real Madrid next in another explosive round of El Classico.
