Mark Wahlberg Transforms For Upcoming Movie

Mark Wahlberg, famous for his remarkable acting skills and well-sculpted body, is shedding off pounds to prepare for an upcoming movie.

Muscles and Movies

For the past years, Mark Wahlberg has maintained a muscular physique for his movies. From his film the Contraband in 2012 to this year’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, Wahlberg portrayed characters that are tough, with incredible fighting skills and remarkable built.

Lean and a Literature Professor

In January, he confirmed that he is losing weight to fit his character in the movie remake of “The Gambler.” He plays the lead role, Jim Bennett, a literature professor suffering from a gambling addiction. Wahlberg explains that he is losing as much weight as he can for the role. From 195, he has reached 158 and would like to continue trimming down to 150 or 145.

The release date for the movie is in 2015. Apart from Wahlberg, “The Gambler” also features Brie Larson, Jessica Lange, John Goodman, Michael K. Williams, and Richard Schiff.
