A McDonald’s worker in Pittsburgh was arrested after selling packs of heroin to drive-thru customers who used the phrase, “I’d like to order a toy,” cops said.
Heroin Happy Meal
According to a criminal complaint, undercover police officers found Shantia Dennis selling heroin in Happy Meal boxes.
Customers looking for heroin were instructed to go through the drive-through and say, “I’d like to order a toy,” said Mike Manko, communications director for the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, in a statement.
Asking for a boy toy, specifically, was code for wanting heroin.
The illegal scheme
During the drug buy, the undercover officers discovered 10 small bags of heroin inside a Happy Meal box.
After the arrest, cops found out the 26-year-old worker was holding 50 more bags of heroin, as well as marijuana.
She was booked on charges of prohibited acts of delivery and possession with intent to deliver.
